NCCFN X REWORK

We traveled to India to implement a serial collection made out of western leftover garments / donations which are collected in a sorting center in the middle of a free trade zone, in the state of Gujarat, north of Mumbai. Between all these garments, rework established a manufacturing facility. Due to the different used clothing materials the Garments become origins but expressly focus on the serial character. The basis for the collection are classic basics such as sweaters, t-shirts and polo shirts. We deliberately work with the “most common” pieces, because they become a mass waste. Generalizing statements like "problems", "peoples" or simply "products" were printed to reproduce and repeat the visual aesthetics of the fast fashion pieces we worked with.
